RLA is a contract Research and Development organisation whose principal interests are in the digital printing industry and related applications.  RLA is part of the Daw Group of Companies and is a privately owned company founded in Adelaide in 1959.

RLA specialises in development processes and chemistry for liquid electrophotography and ink jet technologies for a variety of applications including:

RLA holds a strong position with respect to Intellectual Property with extensive industry knowledge and a portfolio of over 600 patents.

There are currently 40 employees ; 30 of which are development staff with over 400 person years of relevant experience, 10 management and support staff and joint collaborative activities with a variety of external organisations.

Background

RLA boasts a staff with over 400 years of accumulated experience in liquid electrophotography and ink jet technologies.  Over our 40-year history, RLA has developed a portfolio in excess of 600 patents.

RLA has extensive experience working with OEMs at a number of levels:

We understand the science, production and application of digital printing consumables.  This understanding has led us to the development of technologies and production methods for reprographic supply markets, including Office Automation, SOHO, Textiles, Packaging, Graphic Arts, In-Plant, Engineering and Industrial applications.
